Padel is a racket sport combining elements of tennis and squash. It is played by four players on a smaller court surrounded by glass walls from which the ball rebounds. The technique is simpler than in tennis, so even a complete beginner can play a meaningful match after just one hour.
Where to start in Prague
There are currently around 10 padel courts available in Prague. For beginners, we recommend:

What to bring with you
- Raketa - most venues charge a fee of 100-150 Kč
- Obuv - trainers with a non-marking sole (courts are gentle on footwear, but white soles are ideal)
- Clothing - anything sports-related; padel is dynamic
- Balls - usually included in the reservation or available for purchase on-site (approx. 150 Kč per set)
How much does it cost
An hour of court time in Prague typically costs 480-600 KčIf you split it among four players, the cost comes to 120–150 Kč per person, comparable to badminton. The first hour with a coach is around 800–1200 Kč, which is worth it if you want a quick start.
